Seattle Green Building

What is green building?

Green building will soon be the standard by which all construction adheres to.  For now it is an emerging trend in new construction as well as remodels.  Education is the cornerstone to understanding how green building building practices reduce the impact on our environment and create healthier living environments.

The reduction of waste in the construction process coupled with the completed energy efficient buildings contribute to substantial reductions in the carbon footprints our built environments. The lower cost to operate and maintain these efficient buildings is a compelling financial incentive.

Environmentally friendly building practices create healthier and more productive living and work environments for occupants.

The superior quality of green building construction is also a notable advantage to standard building codes traditional construction adheres to.

Once the advantages of green building are realized it is very difficult to ignore the rewards that building and buying green provide.

I have complied links with green building information below.  I encourage all to take a look and educate yourselves about the health risks of, and impact of standard building practices. Once you understand there is a sustainable and healthier option in green building, then advantages become obvious.  Greener more sustainable living is the future.

There are new green projects springing up all over the city.  I showcase some of these on my home page as featured listings. If you have any questions about green built homes, green built townhomes or green built condos in the Seattle area please contact me for more information.
